A: The blade has a matte anti-corrosion coating to slow rust formation. It withstands brief contact with water (rain, lake splashes) during camping/hiking. We recommend wiping it dry and applying light oil after exposure to moisture for long-term storage.

• Prevent Rust: All steels, regardless of grade or price, can eventually rust. To avoid corrosion, always keep your tool clean, dry, and lightly lubricated. If rust or spotting appears, a quality semi-chrome metal polish can usually restore the finish.
• Hand-Wash Only: Always hand-wash your tool with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly.
• Tighten Hardware: Over time, handle, pivot, and pocket clip screws may loosen. Use T6 and T10 Torx drivers for adjustments and apply a small amount of releasable thread-locker to maintain secure fittings.
